What's the wavelength of radiation with 2500 nm? What is the energy of one mole of the radiation?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

you already given wavelength = 2500 nm

Calculation of energy

First calculate energy per radiation

E = hc / where,

E = energy per radiation

h = Planck constant = 6.62610-34J s

c = velocity of light = 3.00108 m/s

= 2500 nm = 2500 10-9 m

Substitute value

E = (6.62610-34)(3.00108) / (2500 10-9)

E = 7.9512 10-20J it is energy of one radiation

in 1 mole contain 6.022 1023 radiation

then energy of 6.022 1023 radiation = 7.9512 10-20J 6.022 1023

= 47882.1264J = 47.8821264 KJ

Answer - 47.8821264 KJ/mol
