Hi
2NaOH (aq) + CuSO4 (aq) ----> Cu(OH)2 (s) + Na2SO4 (aq)
In this reaction a precipitate copper hydroxide is formed. The reaction will stop at the moment when whole of the copper in sulphate is converted into copper hydroxide. So, on measuring the weight of the precipitate adn so the moles, the exact amount of NaOH and other reactant product can be calculated. Therefore, it is not essential to record the exact amount of NaOH added to the copper (II) solution.
