What can be a source of error in the results in an energy transfer in chemical process NaOH and HNO3 lab?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Ans :

There can be multiple sources of error in the results of energy transfer in chemical process of NaOH and HNO3.

There can be error in measurement of masses , molarity or volume of one or both the reactants.

The energy might be lost of absorbed , if the system is not isolated , which can cause incorrect change in temperature according to the reaction.

The specific heat of calorimeter also plays a major role. If there is any error in the measurement , it can cause incorrect results again.

Many chemical reactions produce heat. Select the explaination that correctly describes where the heat energy comes from. are either of these right? A The heat energy in chemical reactions always comes from another heat source because heat energy can never be converted to or from other energy types. When atoms in excited states collide with unexcited atoms they can transfer their excitation energy to those atoms. The most efficient energy transfer occurs when the excitation energy matches the energy matches the energy of an excited state in the unexcited atom. Assuming that we have a collection of excited hydrogen atoms in the excited state, are there any transitions of that could be most efficiently excited by the hydrogen atoms?
