With the aid of a Jablonski Diagram, describe why an emissive process is always observed at a lower energy(longer wavelength) than the exicitation energy and what is this difference called?
if we see care fully the diagram we will see energy difference of two level of excitation is much higher than emission. Actuly after excitation intersystem crossing and internal conversion takes the electron in lower energy level and then emission take place.
Difference is called internal conversion energy
