Homework Answers

Answer #1

1 galloon = 3785.41 cm3

Now , room is a square room i.e. area of wach wall is same.

Now, 1 ft = 30.48 cm3

length of wall = 9.43 ft * 30.48 cm *1/1ft = 287.43 cm

height of wall =9.43 ft* 30.48 cm *1/1ft =  287.43 cm

Now, All square room and ceiling will walls are painted except the floor. So, 5 sides are painted.

Now, 1 ft = 30.48 cm3

Thus, area of 5 walls that are painted = 5 *length * height = 5*287.43 cm*287.43 cm = 413069.68 cm2

Hence the thickness of paint = paint required/ area =  3785.41 cm3 / 413069.68 cm2 = 0.0091641 cm

= 91.64 m
