I missed class and have trouble defining these terms. looking for a brief description o nthem would be awesome
1.Degree of polymerization (DP)is the number of monomer units present in a polymer. It is mathematically written as
DP =Mn/MO, Mn= number average molecular weight and Mo= molecular weight of monomer.
2. Polyolefin is a polymer produced from olefins of formula CnH2n. For example polyethylene is a polymer produced using monomer ethylene.
3. It is a catalyst used for manufacturing of polymers made from alpha-olefins.
4. It volves the study of the relative spatial arrangement of atoms that form the structure of molecules and their manipulation
5. A polymer having random orientation of groups is atactic.
6. A polymer having alternating stereochemical configurations of the groups on successive carbon atoms in the chain is called syndiotactic
7. A polymer with a random orientation of groups is said to be atactic.
