the color of the sodium flame is a very intense yellow color. sodium is one of the components of glass. discuss how glassblowers overcome the problem of intense color of sodium that is produced when they heat the glass

Answer #1

ANS:-

The glass of all types can be colored by the addition of metals oxide, metals or the other compounds to the melt. The coloring agent will either be suspended or dissolved in the glass. In the general way the physical properties of the glass are not changed unless a high concentration of the coloring agent is used in the glass.

Colored glass can be divided into two types. The type of color that is best for glass blowing is one that will not be altered when the glass is heated. This type of color is only dependent on chemical composition.

So,to overcome this type of problem we can try to don't use the coloring agent in the glass or may use in the less concentration.

There are two pure breeding lines of plants that were crossed, one with yellow seeds and one with green seeds. The first filial (F1) produced all yellow seeds. When F1 is self-pollinated, they produced 43 green seeds and 57 yellow seeds. What can you tell me about the inheritance of the flower color?

ou find that you really do not like a certain shade of color in yellow when it reflects off of the glass (n = 1.50) floor in your (expensive) house . So, you decided coat that floor with a material with index of refraction n = 1.38 in order to eliminate light beams of wavelength λ = 550 nm, when is reflected off of the glass and the coating perpendicular to the surface. What is the smallest thickness of the...

The potassium thiocyanate is a clear colorless solution. Iron (III) nitrate is a very light yellow color. When these two solutions are combined, the color of the product is light red. When I added KSCN it turned a blood red color. In another test tube I put the potassium thiocyanate and iron nitrate in an ice bath for five minutes and the solution turned a darker color that it originally was. (Would this be a darker red - forgot to...
