Compare the calorimeter that you built to a bomb calorimeter. How are they similar? How are they different?

Caloric Content of Food lab for Chemistry

Answer #1

Both calorimeter are measuring water temperature as compare to what I built to a bomb calorimeter. They are similar in a way that it can measure heat capacity and can end up with the amount of heat that was released by the chemical reaction.

Moreover, my calorimeter is different to a bomb calorimeter for it does not need an electrical wire to produce chemical reaction, rather it directly ignite an object with the use of a flame. In addition, with the bomb calorimeter, the reactants are immersed in water rather than under a beaker filled with water.
