I did an experiment to prepare 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone. I got 0.6 mL ketone, 2 mL ethanol, 6 mL of 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone and put this all in a flask. I let the solution sit for 15 min then I collected the crystals. My product of crystals was 0.257 g. Please calculate the percent yield of the 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone reaction assuming that the ketone is the limiting reagent.

I did an experiment known as "Identification of an unknown aldehyde and unknown ketone." First I added 0.2 mL aldehyde, 1 mL ethanol, 49 drops of water, 2 more drops ethanol, and 4 drops of phenylhydrazone in a flask. I put the solution in ice and crystals formed. My end product weighed 0.105 g. Please calculate the percent yield of the phenylhydrazone reaction assuming the aldehyde is the limiting reagent.

Preparation of tetraethylammonium tetrachloromanganate (II) [(C2H5)4N]2[MnCl4] Dissolved manganese(II) chloride tetrahydrate 2.0 g in 10 mL hot absolute ethanol. Dissolved tetraethylammonium chloride manohydrate ((C2H5)4N+ 3.7 g in 10 mL hot ethanol made crystals 3.19648 g. What is my limiting reagent? ( I guessed would be the 2.0g manganese (II) chloride tetrahydrate but I am not sure. I googled and it said the one completely used in reaction. My yield is my product weight? What is yield %?

I recently did an experiment where I mixed 2.11 ml of water, 2.01 ml of ethyl acetate and 0.059 g of vanillyn alcohol. When I did the theoretical mass calculation I got 0.0335g, but when I did the experiment and evaporated off the organic layer, I got 0.044g of product. Could someone please explain why I would have gotten more than what my theoretical mass would be? Could this have occurred from evaporating it too long or maybe during extraction,...

Comment on the results you obtained in each of these tests in terms of colors and the functional groups present and what does that indicate about the purity of your purified aspirin? Below is the background info for the lab assignment. The 4 blank boxes are the questions I would like answers too. The end point for the fine titration was 35.90 mL in the burette when the solution turned bright green again. And the coarse titration I got 35.36mL as the end point. 35.9 mL is exact in case you need that info. Thanks!
