Question

How many oxygen atoms are in 22.1g Al2O3

How many oxygen atoms are in 22.1g Al2O3

Homework Answers

Answer #1

1 mole Al2O3 = 3 mol O-atoms

so that, no of mole of Al2O3 = w/mwt = 22.1/102 = 0.217 mol

                    no of O-atoms = 0.217*3*6.023*10^23   ( 1mol = 6.023*10^23 atoms)

                                            = 3.921*10^23 atoms
