Why does a standardized NaOH solution need to be kept in a closed container?
A standardized solution always need to be kept in a closed container having plastic cork rather than the glass cork/stopper.
The reason behind the above stated concept is that '' when the NaOH will be exposed to surrounding , it will start to react with to give the which is basic component to glass.and will be crystallized in between glass bottle and glass cork. For that we need a strong force to remove that glass stopper or cork. To prevent this type of difficulties , there should be the use of plastic stopper.
