Name 2 processes in nature that depend on photochemical reactions?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Answer – There are many process in the nature which are depends on the photochemical reactions. We know the photochemical reactions are the chemical reactions which are occurred in the presence of light. There is formation of radical as the important intermediate.

The first one which is very well know and essential and that is photosynthesis.

In this one there is plant use the solar energy and formed the glucose, carbon dioxide and water using the photochemical reactions.

Formation of the ozone - At the stratosphere there is photochemical dissociation of molecular oxygen into oxygen atoms. These radical of the oxygen reacts with oxygen gas and form the ozone molecules

There is photoinitiator for the polymerization. There is decomposition of and form the free radical by absorbing the light.
