(A) In you are conducting a reaction how much reaction occure [happened] and how much starting material is consumed for this purpose we can use TLC.

Predict elution order :-

(1) In TLC Non Polar compounds run fast [Near o solvent front]

[Rf value more than 0.5]

(2) Polar spot won't be near to solvent front. [Rf value less than 0.5]

(3) Non polar spots elution first in TLC.

Non polar compounds Rf > 0.5

Polar compounds Rf < 0.5

Less polar travel faster.

How to improve the resolution of a TLC plate.

(a) Whatever may be we are putting spot on TLC we should take with dilution starting material.
