What would happen to a recipe if you used dried beans instead of soaked beans?

Answer #1

A lot of people have misconceptions about soaking beans. Beans are grouped according to hardness, and not all beans need to be soaked. The softer categories of legumes like Split Peas, Lentils and Butterbeans can be quickly pressure cooked without soaking, but the hardest beans, such as the Soybean, are so hard they need a full 12 hours to rehydrate.

Letting dried beans sit overnight in a bowl of cold water does nothing to improve their flavor or their texture. In fact, it does quite the opposite. While soaking shortens the unattended cooking time of beans somewhat, the time saved is marginal and there are no other labor-saving benefits. Finally, soaking does absolutely nothing to reduce the gas-producing properties of beans.

if we use dried beans directly it will take more time to cook and beans won't cook properly.

Solids soaked with liquid hexane are dried by being contacted with nitrogen at an elevated temperature. The gas stream leaving the dryer is at 80°C, 1 atm absolute and 50% relative saturation. (a) One of several possibilities for recovering the hexane from the gas is to send the stream to a cooling condenser. The gas stream leaving the condenser would contain 5.00 moles of hexane (out of 100 total moles), and hexane condensate would be recovered at a rate of...

Describe what would happen if instead of the AV bundle and bundle branches running down the septum and branching into Purkinje fibers that run up the lateral sides (outside walls) of the heart, the conducting pathway went from the AV node and branched out in a web throughout the ventricles towards the apex.
