how do you determine whether a Heterojunction photocatalyst is a reasonable combination?

The heterojunction catalysts are used when we need to increase the separation between electron -hole.

The use of such catalysts is in minimizing the energy by good separation of electron hole and hence inhibiting their recombination. This greater separation increases the effeciency of the photoctalysts.

So we test the combination for energy effeciency, if it meets our expectations then the combination is reasonable.

The combinaiton should be

a) cost effective

b) easy to operate

c) energy effecient
