Functional groups such as esters (RCOOR') that can be easily hydrolyzed.
For example Dacron or terylene
Another example is polyacrylonitrile (PAN) which contains cyano groups that can be easily hydrolyzed.

Non hydrolysis sites
Functional groups that cannot be hydrolyzed.
For example Bakelite (phenol-formaldehyde resin) that contains phenolic -OH group which cannot be hydrolyzed.
