assume that you are working in an industry after graduation. Your supervisor asked you to make 200 ml of 0.5M sodium chloride solution. how would you make the solution?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Volume of solution required = 200ml = 0.2 L

So, moles of NaCl = Molarity*volume

= 0.5*0.2 = 0.01 mole

Mass of NaCl = mole*molar mass

= 0.01*58.44

= 0.5844 gram

So now for making this solution we take 0.5844 gram NaCl and then we add water in it and continuously stir the solution and when the volume reach 200 ml we stop mixing water.

And after stirring the solution that is ready is 200 ml of 0.5M sodium chloride solution.
