Question

What is the number of moles of SiO2 in 1 tonne SiO2?

What is the number of moles of SiO2 in 1 tonne SiO2?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

1 tonne =1000kg

Kg      = 1000g

1 tonne = 1000*1000g = 106 gm

molar mass of SiO2 = 60

no of moles       = weight of SiO2/gram molar mass

                       = 106 /60

                      = 0.016*106 = 1.6*104 moles >>> answer
