Both naphthalene and para-dichlorobenzene are effective moth repellents.Both of these formulations have the strong, pungent, sickly-sweet odour often associated with mothballs.Due to this we never feel bad smell from the woollen clothing which is stored for long time .Although both naphthalene and para-dichlorobenzene undergo sublimation directly which is better thing for us.

There are some limitations of using these ,naphthalene is flammable while the vapours of para - dichlorobenzene are toxic.WE use camphor for these purposes .
