At the time of testing in order to find the unknown substance obtained in the reaction, we need to use the known substance and perform the test and then perform the same test to the unknown substance, if the results obtained are the same, then the unknown compound is the used known compound, otherwise use a new known compound and repeat the procedure

Hence it is necessary to perform the test of a known sample as well as the unknown sample, sometimes the test is carried out to check for the purity of the unknown sample
