Homework Answers

Answer #1

1 Chocolate mousse requires 3 egg yolks

Hence number of chocolate mousse that can be prepared from 5 eggs = 5 eggs * 1 mousse/3 eggs = 1.67 mousse

If the integer answer is required then we will only be able to make 1 mousse otherwise 1.67 mousse

1 macroon batter makes 15 cookies

Number of cookies = 15 cookies/per batter * 5 egg whites/ 2 egg whites = 37.5 cookies

Hence if only integral answer is requires then 30 cookies and 1 egg white will be wasted otherwise we can make 37.5 cookies
