ANSWER: No wecannot use a constant value for the effective plume rise, we need to adjust because germination will not be proper as a) there is no proper supply of oxygen for respiration

                            b) there is an insufficient pushing force in the embryonic part i,e hypocotyl or epicotyl, to break through the upper layer of the soil.
