How can you seperate a mixture of colorless compounds (i.e solution is clear) by column chromatography?
You can separate a mixture of colorless compounds easily by column chromatography on the basis of their polarity even though if solution is clear. On the basis of polarity of compound in the mixture one can easily elute the pure compound. In column chromatography the less polar compound will come first and more polar compound will come later in the solution phase. So, by using the polar and nonpolar solvent one can easily separate the colorless compounds by column chromatography
