Answer #1

Answer – We are given the reaction –

A(g)+ ½ B(g) -----> 2C(g)

Rate of C increased, ∆[C] /∆t = 1.5*10-2 M.s-1

Rate of B decreasing

We know

Rate = - ∆[A] /∆t = -2* ∆[B] /∆t = ½ ∆[C] /∆t

So, ∆[B] /∆t = 1/2*2 * ∆[C] /∆t

                     = ¼ * 1.5*10-2 M.s-1

                     = 3.75*10-3 M.s-1.

Rate of A decreasing –

We know

Rate = - ∆[A] /∆t = -2* ∆[B] /∆t = ½ ∆[C] /∆t

So, ∆[A] /∆t = ½ * ∆[C] /∆t

                     = ½ * 1.5*10-2 M.s-1

                     = 7.5*10-3 M.s-1.
