What is the molarity of a solution created with 37.1 g of C6H12O6dissolved in 482 g of water to make 555 mL of solution?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Solution :-

lets first calculate the moles of the C6H12O6

moles = mass/ molar mass

         = 37.1 g / 180.15 g per mol

        = 0.206 mol C6H12O6

volume of solution = 555 ml = 0.555 L

molarity = moles / volume in liter

             = 0.206 mol / 0.555 L

            = 0.3712 M

So the molarity of the solution is 0.3712 M
