In this problem the first step is multiply with a -2

The second step it turns to division with a 2

Change you explain why this is done

Also does it change how to do the problem if the -2 is another number like -1 or 1?

X = (3.46x10^4) [(0.082057)(529)] -2 = 18.4

x=3.46x10^4 / [(0.082057)(529)] 2

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Remember the rule for reciprocals that

1/x=x^-1

1/x^2=x^-2

1/x^3=x^-3 and soon...where x is any real number.

in your problem

X = (3.46x10^4) [(0.082057)(529)]^ -2 =(3.46x10^4) * 1/ [(0.082057)(529)]^ 2 (reciprocal is taken)

                                                       =(3.46x10^4) / [(0.082057)(529)]^ 2 [multiply the numerators (3.46x10^4) and 1 to get back (3.46x10^4)]

So I would like to multiply a first digit by 2. I have to randomize either 51-55 but multiply that very first digit by 2 whichever the number may come out to be. I also need to keep the string. (NOTE: This problem has two parts. BUT the second part will appear ONLY AFTER you have answered the first part correctly.) Rework problem 31 in section 4.2 of your text, involving the selection of two numbers. Assume that you select two 4-digit numbers at random from the set of consecutive integers from 0000 through 9999. The selections are made with replacement and are independent of one another. If the two numbers are the same, you make $850. If they are...

You have a solenoid with 570 turns that is 15 cm long and has a cross-sectional area of 6.5 ??2. a. (3 pts) Calculate the self-inductance for the solenoid. b. (4 pts) You now wind a second solenoid around the first solenoid (so they are both wound around the same core). The second solenoid does not have the same number of turns as the first. You attach a power supply to first solenoid and tune the power supply in such...

Step 1: State the null and alternative hypotheses Step 2: Indicate the critical value of the appropriate statistic (and draw a picture of the distribution, showing the alpha/critical region and the critical value of the statistic) Step 3: Calculate the test statistic/p-value. Step 4: Decision and conclusion (do you retain or reject the null hypothesis? And what does that mean in terms of the problem – write a verbal conclusion that relates back to the actual problem. 50 men and...

Please explain me step by step thank you Solve the problem 1) Suppose that you wish to find P(-2<x<2) for a continuous uniform distribution having a minimum of -3 and a maximum of 3. If you incorrectly assume that the distribution is normal instead of uniform, will your answer be too big, too small, or will you obtain the correct answer? Explain your thinking.

Would you please give me step by step instruction on the following. What is the major product of the reaction of 1 mol of propyne with the Br2 CH2Cl2.Does the information "1 mol" make the problem different than if we just said Br2. The text book shows the answer as the Br ending up on the 1st C. but that's the least substituted so I 'm unclear as to why it's there versus C # 2. You have already answered...
