Homework Answers

Answer #1

A. [OH−]= 1.9×10−12 M

Solution :- [OH-][H3O+] = Kw

Kw= 1*10^-14

Therefore

[H3O+] = kw/ [OH-]

              = 1*10^-14 / 1.9*10^-12

              = 5.3*10^-3 M

[H3O+] = 5.3*10^-3 M

B. [OH−]= 2.2×10−2 M

Solution

[H3O+] = kw/ [OH-]

              = 1*10^-14 / 2.2*10^-2

              = 5.3*10^-3 M

[H3O+] = 4.5*10^-13 M
