Name the 4 types of organic molecules and their monomers:

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Polymers is compound of high molecular weight made from either additions of simple blocks ( called as monomenrs) or removal of small molecule like water during addition of different molecules ( Nylon-6)

Polymers are categorized into

Starchr from sugar

Lipids from tryglycerides

Protein from amino acids

njucleic acids from nucleotides

They are also categorized as

Addition polymerrs ( polythene oxide from ethylene oxide)

Condensation polymers ( Reaction of adipic acid and dicyclohexyl amine to form nylan-6)

Emulsion polymerization ( production of synthetic rubber from reaction of styrene and butadines)

suspnesion polymerization ( polyvinyl chloride from vinyl chloride)
