For the reaction X(g)+2Y(g)⇌3Z(g) Kp = 3.27×10−2 at a temperature of 353 ∘C . Calculate the value of Kc.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Solution :-

X(g)+2Y(g) < ----- > 3Z(g)            Kp = 3.27×10−2

formula to calculate the Kp form the K is

Kp = K* (RT)^delta n

delta n= sum of coefficient of product - sum of coefficient of reactant

           = 3 - (2+1)

           = 0

now lets calculate the K

Kp = K* (RT)^delta n

353 C + 273 = 626 K

3.27*10^-2 = K * (0.08206 L atm per mol K * 626 K)^0

3.27*10^-3/ (0.08206 L atm per mol K * 526 K)^0 = K

3.27*10^-2 = K

Here Kp = K because the delta n= 0

So K= 3.27*10^-2
