At the time of removing hardness from water, there is zeolite bed which is created with the deposited calcium on the ground surface which leads to no longer removal of hardness from water, this phenomena is known as "Breakthrough" in the field of Chemistry.

When the breakthrough point has been reached, we cannot soften the water because of the calcium deposition, in order to soften the water after breakthrough point, we need to tune it by using a small disk in the head unit
