Answer #1

1.

a.Increasing energy per photon

radio waves < microwaves < red light < blue light < gamma rays

b.Increasing wavelength

gamma rays < blue light < red light < microwaves < radio waves

c.Increasing frequency

radio waves < microwaves < red light < blue light < gamma rays

Note: The order for increasing frequency is same as the order for increasing energy per photon.

The order for increasing wavelength is the reverse.

2. The transition n = 7 -----> n = 5 would result in the absorption of light of longest wavelength.
As teh value of n increases, the separation between different energy levels decreases. The energy difference between two levels is lowest and the wavelength is longest.
