1) The three steps or features of handwriting analysis are - analysis, comparison and evaluation.
2) Many examiners use light and/or electrostatics for ink differtiation. For indented information which is not visible in the naked eye can be visualised through Electrostatic Detection Device (EDD). Alterations, Oblitarations which cannot be seen throught naked eye but can be detected through photography that uses UV, IR light. Liquid Chromatography can also be used for the separation of different coloured inks from a document.
