The pH of a buffer is given by Hendersen equation as

                pH = pKa +log [conjugate base]/[acid]

The concentrations are [sodium acetate] = 0.82g/82gmol-1 in 100mL = 0.1 mol in 100 mL

                                                [acid ] = o.1 mol in 100 mL

pKa of acid = -log[1.77x 10-5] = 4.75

substituting the values pH = 4.75 + log (0.1)/(0.1) = 4.75
