Based on 2NaOH (s) + H2SO3 (aq) ---> Na2SO3 (s) + 2H2O (l) 6.8 gms
Find moles of Na2SO3
This is the balanced chemical equation and we see that2 moles of NaOH and 1 mole of H2SO4 gives 1 mole of Na2SO3 and 2 moles of H2O and mass of H2O producd is given as 6.8 grams.
So from the balanced chemical equation we see that for 2 moles of H2O 1 mole of Na2SO3 is formed thus for 6.8 gram H2O= 6.8/18 moles of H2O is produced that is 0.378 moles, so moles of Na2SO3 produced will be half that of the moles of H2O.
so moles of Na2SO3 will be=0.378/2=0.189 moles of Na2SO3.
