SN1,REACTION IS A SUBSTITUTION REACTION WHICH TAKES PLACE IN 2 STEPS ,THE FIRST STEP GIVE carbocation and in the second step the carbocation is attacked by nucleophile . In this reaction retention of configuration takes place . Whereas in SN2 REACTION single step reaction takes place via the formation of transition state , in this inversion of configuration takes place ,E 1 it is a unimolecular reaction which takes place IN 2 steps whereas E2 Will take place in single step .
