An example of thermopastic is polyvinyl chloride (PVC). the polymer is made from vinyl chloride monomer. It is widely used in everyday life for making tupperwares, PVC insulating pipes, etc. The property of the material mainly the brittelness can be decreased markeldy by the addiiton of suitable plasticizers to it. Some common plasticizers employed for pvc are bis-2-ethylhexylphtahlate. Various proporations of plasticizer can be added to get the desired end product property.
