Answer #1

A process or a change is said to be a chemical change if the process leada to the formation of new chemical substance. In simple words, if a substance leads to the formation of a new substance through a process than the accompanying process is called a chemical change.

When a candle is burned the there is formation of new substance like carbondioxide. So, burning of candle is a chemical change. Rusting of iron is also a chemical change because during rusting of iron iron reacts with oxygen and forms iron oxide which is a completely a new substance.
