According to the eq

4.3 = - log(x)

x= antilog(-4.3)

1. For calculating antilog , it having 2 parts one is characteristic that comes before decimal point & mantissa that comes after the decimal point. Here the characteristic is- 4 & mantissa is 3.

2. For -4.3 add +5 & -5.

= -4.3+ 5 - 5 = -5+(5- 4.3)= -5+0.7. use the antilog table find the actual digit of 0.7. it is 5012.

here the base is always 10.

so 5012 is multiplied with 10-5

x = 5012 x 10-5

Question regarding the following equation explanation: Why is it that when finding the PH in qestions (B) you take the negative log of the M but to find the OH in question (A) you ALSO take the -log. Is there a rule as to when you use the negative log to get PH and when you use the negative log to get POH? Seems alot like an 'eenie meanie miney mo' thing going on here. Please explain in detail!! Calculate the pH of the solution of 0.112M CsBrO. I know Cs+ and Br- are spectator ions but I can't figure out how to solve this. No volume was given nor is it necessary to solve a weak acid/base problem when it is not a mixture. The final pH is 10.82 I just need the steps to solve it.

I have a homework problem that I need to determine the partial fraction decomposition of the ration expression. The equation is 2x-1/x(2x^2+3)^2. The correct answer according to my chapter test is -1/9/x+2/9x/2x^2+3+2/3x+2/(2x^2+3)^2. Can you please explain how they arrived at this answer? Thank you!

Solve using periodic properties: Sin-1(sin(5π/8)) cos (16π/3) Assuming you don't have a calculator to check your work, I don't understand how to find the corresponding angle on the periodic circle. I really need a detailed explanation. I understand the math so I don't need someone showing me how to subtract 5π-2π =3π, but more so how you would know how to subtract 5-2 as opposed to 5π-4π to get π/8? I've seen people solve many questions like these different ways,...
