Titration:-

Process of addition of standard solution from a buretle (called as tilrant) to a conical flask which contains known volume of solution of the analysts (called titrand) till the completion of the reactions is called titration.

Volume of titrant needed to complete the titration is determined from difference between initial and final reading.

Silent features and purpose

1). Main purpose is measurement of volume of known solution required to bring about the completion of the reaction with measured volume of unknown solution.
