Please list All enzyme pathways that require vitamin B6 or PLP.
The active form of Vitamin B6 is PLP which is used in a number of reactions involving amines. For example it acts as an active enzyme along with a primary enzyme system in the transamination of various complexes to retain amine group on it. Also it is used as aminotransferases which as the name suggests is transfer the amine group from one compound to the other. It also acts as a proton donor and helps in the racemization of vast number of chiral amines in biochemistry. Apart from its reactions with amines in some cases it also acts as a enzyme for decarboxylation reaction. Also, some elimination reactions are associated with this enzyme. Last but not the least are the beta group interconversions and substitution reactions being performed by these enzymes in the system are also known.
