Now, using your knowledge of the properties of states of matter (gas, liquid, solid) and density, explain what would happen to most other substances when you place a solid phase and a liquid phase together. Answer this question by looking at the densities of the solid phase and the liquid phase and which would most likely be more dense.

Answer #1

Between solid and liquid phase of a same substance, solid phase is more dence copare to it's liquid phase. That is solid phase has higher density,so, when we mixed solid and liquid phase of the same substance due to unequal density of these to phase, matters will flow from solid to liquid phase. Therefore when mixed the solid phase into liquid phase there occures diffusion (matters flow from higher dense solid phase to lower dense liquid phase) to get equally distribution of matters.
