nucleophile means nature of compound that tends to donates pair of electrons to form bond.

Factors that you may choose-

  • compounds/molecules availability of electrons to donate or elctron rich
  • higher charge , more nucleophile in nature
  • less electronegative atom , means more nucleophile because it doesn't tend to attach tighly electrons, make easily available to donate or vice-versa.
  • structure of the compound i.e-steric hindered less nucleophile limits the donation ability of electrons.

basicity of compound that can donates its electrons to H atoms, or that copletely dissociate into hydroxyl ion in aqeous solution.

Factors that you may choose-

  • for strong base the pH paper will show around 14 pH value
  • for weak base it shows pH value between 7-13 or less than 14
  • strong base shows high reactivity.
