I need to find a concentration of NaOH from titration i have done in lab.

But i don't know how to..

Given: In a flask with 0.7572g of KHP with 50ml of H2O, i added 38.5ml of 0.1M NaOh solution.

From there, i need to find concentration of NaOH in the titrated solution.

thank you!

Answer #1

KHP(aq) + NaOH(aq) ---> KNaP(aq) + H2O(l)

molarity(M) of KHP = (W/M)*1000/V

                   = (0.7572/204.22)*(1000/50)

                   = 0.074 M

molarity(M) of NaOH = n/V

                    = 38.5*0.1/(38.5+50)

             = 0.0435 M

You determine the concentration of a solution of HCl by titration with NaOH. The titration reaction is: HCl(aq) + NaOH(aq) → H2O(l) + NaCl(aq) Using a volumetric pipet, you transfer 10.00 mL of the HCl solution into an Erlenmeyer flask, then dilute it with ~50 mL of water and add 3 drops of phenolphthalein. Suppose you run acid-base titration to find NaOH concentration. Based on the following information calculate Molarity of NaOH solution; Molarity of HCL = 0.1M Initial buret reading for HCL = 0.00 Final buret reading for HCLn = 10.00 Initial buret reading for NaOH = 0.00 Final buret reading for NaOH = 20.00
