molarity (M) = mass / molar mass x 1000 / volume in mL

mass = mass of NaOH

molar mass = 40 g/mol

volume in mL = 200 mL

Molarity = 1.0 M

1.0 M = mass / 40 g/mol x (1000 / 200)

mass = 1.0 x 8 = 8.0 g

so take 8.0 g of NaOH and then dissolve in some amount water (it should be less than 200) and then make up up to 200 mL

HCl

use same formula

molar mass of HCl = 36.458 g/mol

volume given is 200 mL

Molarity = 6.00 M HCl

plug in these valume

6.0 M = mass / 36.458 g/mol ( 1000 / 200)

Mass = 6.0 M x 5 / 36.458 g/mol
