Answer #1

I have my own experience in this field as chemist

Lead acid batteries are 100% recyclable

There are industries all over the world for recycling batteries

The extracted lead metal from lead acid batteries are converted to pure lead , lead alloys and lead oxides and send it back to lead acid batteries manufacturing industries , in this way it is recyled more efficiently.

The extracted lead from lead acid batteries are also converted as an additives for plastics

As an average 62% of lead metal is present in lead acid batteries and almost all lead metal is extracted by even by small scale industries

Because lead acid batteries are recycled in manufactering lead acid batteries again , other metals like Antimony , Tin , Arsenic are also efficiently recycled.
