What would be the effect if the cover of the sample compartment is left open while setting 100%T and 0%T?

Answer: d. Both 0% and 100% levels would be incorrect
Make sure that the sample compartment is empty and the cover is closed, then adjust the Power Switch/Zero Control until the display reads 0%T. Insert the glassware filled with distilled water into the sample compartment and use the Transmittance/Absorbance Control to set the meter or display to 100%T.
