Which of the following is the stronger acid?

(b) H 2 Cr O 4 or HMn O 4 . I thought for H2CrO4, H has an oxidation number of -1 and oxygen has an oxidation number of -2 and then if these numbers are equal to 0 and you get +10. For HMnO4, I got that the oxidation number for Mn is +9. I know this is wrong. How is the oxidation number for Cr +6 when looking at H2CrO4? And how is the the oxidation number for Mn 7+? Please explain step by step.

f(x)= -4x/ x^2+4 i think i found the first dervivative: f'(x)= (4x^2-16)/(x^2+4)^2 but im not sure if thats right and then i get confused after that on how i find the critical numbers: x=____ i think i got x=2 for the critical number then i am supposed to find where it is increasjng and decreasing and i dont understand the steps on how to find that out- i understand the number line but how do you plug in the numbers...

One example is 589+437=1026. We are asked to find ALL the possibilities. I know it has to do with combinations, but I'm not quite sure if I'm using it the proper way.

The major industrial source of hydrogen gas is by the following reaction: CH4(g) + H2O(g) ------> CO(g) + 3 H2(g) Use bond energies to predict deltaH for this reaction. So I used bond energy chart: CH4(g): 4mol C-H= 4*413kJ/mol H2O(g): 2mol H-O = 2*467kJ/mol 3 H2(g): 3mol H-H = 3*432kJ/mol CO(g): 1mol C-O = 1*358kJ/mol And I got the answer as 1290kJ.... but it is wrong because apparently for CO(g) the bond has to be a triple bond...so the energy...
