Describe a pattern from the periodic table that is interesting. What characteristics of elements is the source of this pattern?

Answer #1

There are so many interesting patterns found in the periodic table example - valence electrons arrangement, electronegativity, atomic radius, electron affinity arrangement etc. But according to question which is asked to me, I have to describe only one pattern. So, I will take interest to describe VALENCE ELECTRONS pattern in periodic table. Valence electrons are the electrons in the outermost shell of an isolated atom of an element. The characteristic of the elements of this pattern is that - In a period, the number of valence electrons increase as we move from left to right side of the periodic table however in a group the number of valence electrons remain the same.
