Solutions that contain more than the maximum amount of solute than should dissolve are called? unsaturated, saturated, dilute, supersaturated, no correct answer

Answer #1

Solutions that contain more than the maximum amount of solute than should dissolve are called supersaturated solution. In supersaturated solution, solute particles settles at the bottom of the container. Saturated solution are those solution which contain the maximum amount solute which it can dissolve. These solutions are clear transparent and are single phase. On the otherhand, supersaturated solution are not clear and have two phase i.e. liquid as solution and solid as solute particles. Crystallization process is also based on supersaturation. When the saturated solution is heated, solvent evaporates which decreases the amount of solute which it can dissolve. Then the excess solute which solution contains crystallizes slowly.

Carbon Dating: All living organisms contain two isotopes (types) of carbon; carbon-12 ( 12C) and carbon-14 (14C). Carbon-12 is stable, meaning that its atoms do not decay. Carbon-14 however, is radioactive or unstable, meaning that an atom of carbon-14 may decay. It does this by throwing off an electron and thus transforming itself into Nitrogen 14. The ratio of carbon-14 to carbon-12 is the same for all living organisims, about 1/10, 000. However, once an organisim dies the carbon-14 begins...

0. Introduction. In this laboratory assignment, you will write a Python class called Zillion. The class Zillion implements a decimal counter that allows numbers with an effectively infinite number of digits. Of course the number of digits isn’t really infinite, since it is bounded by the amount of memory in your computer, but it can be very large. 1. Examples. Here are some examples of how your class Zillion must work. I’ll first create an instance of Zillion. The string...
