As you can see from the above table that the activity of uranium is much more higher than thorium and Protactinium. As you see from the table the activity of Thorium is 44,800,000 and activity of uranium is 179,000,000 which is around 4 times that of thorium. So , the measurement od 243U is reported to 4mm while the 230Th and 231Pa are reported to only 1mm.
